Update: The company was distressed by my experience and offered a full refund, unsolicited. They expressed a real interest in my concerns, a willingness to stand up, and they put their money behind it. I feel good about their response and have adjusted my stars accordingly. I trust the company will make improvements to their product based on my experience.This is a powerful steam cleaner and it does the job. However, it’s a real slow go. It takes a good 10+ minutes every time it needs refilling, which is often. And even though it says it won’t open until it’s safe, don’t believe it. I thought I had emptied all the water, but I hadn’t. When I opened the cap that’s not supposed to open until it’s a safe temperature, the water burst out and burned my hand. It’s also really hard to hold the steam button down, which I mitigated by switching off between my thumb and index finger. I used it on the grout in my bathrooms and laundry room, and it did make a noticeable difference. I had to refill twice while only cleaning the worst sections of a 10x3’ section of the laundry room, which was frustrating. I also tried out the clothes steaming feature and it worked well. But after I burned my hand while opening the water unit, I’m leery of using it again. There see warnings about leaving water in the tank, but I really thought I had emptied it, so let the fault lie where it may. I’ve had other steam cleaners that were lighter and didn’t burn me; on the other hand, this one seems to be more powerful, so make up your own mind.I like this little steamer. I used it to clean my tile grout. You need to use some elbow grease but the steam helped loosen the dirt. Won't do it alone. Some cons are the plug is short. I had to get an extension cord or was constantly having to unplug. Also it has a safety knob so you can't open to refill right away. But you have to wait more than 10 minutes for it to cool down. This was not great when you wanted to keep going but had to wait to refill and it does not hold that much water.Great for small jobs but not for big jobs it still will get it done, it will just take longer.I have been wanting a handheld stem cleaner for sometime. During Prime day we were buying some household things and I finally decided to get one. I found this one and gave it a try.I started with a few small areas, then I used it in my shower. I took some getting used to but after finally getting the hang of it I decided to try to clean the grout in my master bathroom. WOW! I have been so annoyed with the grout but after using taking this cleaner to it I am much happier and now I can keep up with it.My dislikes:I would suggest using an extension cord JIC. A few times I wish I did.Also I recommend if your worker on a “bigger” project have something to do while the machine cools down.I used this steamer to clean the old stains on the car's carpet since it plays a key role because making the stain easy to fade. I also think this more than fading stains helps to eliminate bacteria on surfaces since it's really powerful to eliminate odors! I'm glad I bought this since I can give it lots of uses such as degreasing the engine, cleaning the windows, and detailing rims. Of course, it helps a ton in the chores of the home, with the floors, carpets, and hardwood floors. I use it a lot to disinfect all the surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom, especially when I let time without cleaning deeply. But listen to me, if you use it to clean mirrors and windows they're going to be residue free and sparkling clean. Also, according to my research, it also helps eliminate bed bugs, mites, and allergens. This steamer is powerful!the steamer works fine in the bathroom and on kitchen counter tops, but poor results on the gas grill does not remove grease very well and on the oven does not remove burnt on spots. i kept it, but was dissappointed it did not do a better job on the grill and oven.I wanted something smaller than my shark steam cleaner I use for my floors. It's a powerful little machine with enough attachments for every task. I love cleaning without the use of chemicals. I have a chicorgie and he licks every surface he can get to. Hopefully this machine will last a long time.Used this on my car and it took all the stains out of my rug, it’s light and easy to use! Definitely recommendI got this product to steam clean upholstery, stuffed animals, etc. Steam for longer than 5-10 seconds and the light comes on (must wait for it to heat up again). Frustrating for big jobs, fine for small ones im sure.
