This is "Circulon" which is hard anodized steel and therefore extremely durable. The unit is large enough to prepare approximately 3 quarts of food which is a plus but it is compact enough to fit neatly in a base cabinet with other pots, pans and utensils. The dark gray color is attractive and fits my kitchen decor nicely. I like the handles which are very sturdily attached and easily grasped. As with all steamers, I would recommend using a hot glove when working with this appliance. I have had a lot of other "Circulon" products over the years and I am very fond of their non-stick finishes. This one has raised circular grooves in the pot which also helps facilitate easy food release. I am in love with this apppliance and look forward to many years of use. Cleaning this unit is a breeze with just a dab of dish detergent and a sponge and some warm water. If something would get stuck to it, I am sure a little white vinegar in some water would remove any stuck on residue easily. It does require some watching as it is not electric and has no timer and I do not like to run my steamers dry. So I have to check on them during the cooking process which is no big deal really. Like I said, "I love this thing" and will recommend it to all my friends.Good pot. Very useful for steaming foods or for heating something. Well made. Some people in previous reviews have complained that the handles get hot. A natural occurrence for most pots heated on a stove. This is not a drawback for me since I am used to using potholders.I love how compact the steamer is. Fits in my drawer perfectly for storage. The steamer is the perfect size for a single layer of tamales steamed to perfection. The steamer is also heavy enough for long boiling times.I was hoping the steamer would be deep enough to use this as a pasta-pot with built-in strainer. In spite of this being a big pot, there is scarcely enough usable volume to boil a box of pasta in the insert. It is a nice pot otherwise.Seems sturdy, great for steaming shrimp or veggiesLove the easy to clean Circulon cook set...added this double boiler/steam set to my existing 13 pc set from Costco...nice addition to that set which did not come with a dboiler. These pans are so much lighter than stainless steel & my cast iron pans & it’s much appreciated as I’m not as strong as I used to be. Hope they last a long time.I love the size of this pot and the steam insert. This pot is perfect for making smaller amounts of sauces or gravies, but it is larger than your standard small saucepot, so it is really the perfect size for certain chores. I have always been a fan of Circulon. It is easy to clean and is extremely durable. Our last set lasted us over 20 years and we are now just replacing pieces that were well-loved and worn. Highly recommend this item.I use this for steaming vegetables. It is perfect! It is strong, easy to clean, and just a great addition to have in the kitchen.Exactly what we wanted, excepted that it is a little too pricey.
